WELCOME TO TRON
===============
Tron is a game for one or two players, played on a grid 100 x 100 squares.
You control your droid using the joystick in port 2 for player one, and
either keys or joystick in port 1 for player two, up/down/left/right
(q/a/o/p for player 2 keys) sets you off in the appropriate direction (you
cannot stop moving), if you press fire while pushing the joystick in a
direction (player 2 keys TAB or [) when you are playing the game in slow
mode allows you to travel twice as fast. Pressing fire with the joystick
centred (player 2 key SPACE) will activate your shield if you have any, this
allows you to go through an opponent's trail once (but NOT your own).
Hitting a trail will stop your control of the droid and start it retracing
it's trail, if it gets back to where it started before all the other droids
die, then you will die. You complete a level when you are the last droid on
the grid.
In hard mode, you control both your droid, and one of the computer's
droids which will travel in exactly the opposite way to you (I was bored one
night ;-) you continue til both droids are dead.
After each level, you enter a shop where you may buy lives or shields, or
sell shields. You start with three lives and one shield.
Press ESCAPE during the game to return to the high score screen, and
ESCAPE from there to save the high scores and quit back to WorkBench (It's
tempremental about loading from the CLI so don't bother).
On the high score screen, press I to get a listing of what keys do what,
and H to get the high scores back.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it... I started it
after only owning my Amiga for 2 months and the demo version of Blitz Basic
2 for four days (although I now have the full version, thanx Acid Software
for a good starting language, but I'm off to assembly now...)
You may have problems running Tron with certain commodities, if so just
kill some off first.
If you have any problems / comments let me know, if you can, use E-Mail as
you'll definately get a reply as long as I'm at University.
